In order to bring transparency in the college examination system in the state, the Rajasthan University has asked private colleges to not allow their students to appear for exams in their own premise. The decision has been taken during a meeting of principals of private colleges and RU administration on 19 November 2013.
The need to bring up this move arose after a few colleges were found assisting students who appeared for exams in their own colleges. Bringing solutions to the complaint lodged by private colleges that university officers came late for inspection, the RU Vice Chancellor, Dev Swarup, said that colleges are free to approach university administration as and when they face any inconvenience from the end of university.
During the meeting, it was also decided that candidates applying for a writer due to inability to write in the exam will be facilitated with their demand only on the recommendation of chief medical and health officer (CMHO), and the writer must be two classes junior to the examinee.
